Hi, just wanted to let you know that your Pitkin info is mistaken in that Albert H. Pitkin (b. 1851) resided in Memphis Missouri- not Tennessee- and that he and many of his family members were prominent in local politics and are buried here in Scotland Co. Missouri. I live in an old Victorian built by Albert's son- Dr. Leo Pitkin (b. 1874) and his dental office still stands out back of my house. While insulating the attic, I found a box which included a large tintype photo (with I.D. and date) of Albert Pitkin and his mother Eliza taken in 1854, and a Missouri history book, which details Dr. Pitkin's genealogy as having evolved from New Haven Connecticut via England in 1659. The book also contained a very old copy of the last will and testiment for Elisha Davis (1882) mentioning Horace G. Pitkin and Stephen G. Pitkin. Id be happy to share copies if anyone in your family is interested. Parents: Horace Goodwin Pitkin and Eliza Ann Stewart.
