Organist Mary Ann Ritchie accompanied the congregation in the hymns, "How Great Thou Art," "Precious Lord" "Spirit Song" and "Hymn Of Promise." Scripture readings were read by grandson, Christopher Bond and Andrew Bond, also a grandson, read a poem "Footprints." Words of remembrance were offered by son, Glenn David Pierce who also read a poem, "A Tryst With Death." Interment was in Hope Cemetery in Barre where Rev. Howe offered Committal Prayers. The American Flag was presented to Alida Pierce, wife of the deceased, by Paul J. Carbonneau. Pallbearers were Christopher Bond and Andrew Bond, both grandsons; Craig Pierce, Erle Pecue, Jerome Goss, nephews and Mike Pecue, a family friend. Following the service family and friends gathered in the church dining room for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre."
