John Pease died on 8 July 1689 in Enfield, Connecticut. John Pease of Salem came in the Francis, from Ipswich, Suffolk County England in 1634. His first wife died January 5, 1668.

"The John Pease (R1) you have listed is the 2nd son of Robert Pease and Marie Pease (not sure when Marie came over), not his uncle John Pease who died on Martha’s Vineyard in 1697.
John Pease (age 27) of Martha Vineyard came over on the Ship Francis with his older brother Robert (age 43+), and Robert’s son Robert in may 1634. Along with ffaythe Clearke and Darcas Greene both wards of John Pease according to the manifest of the Ship Francis, first to Boston, then to Salem.
John Pease (1) married Lucy (Reeves) Weston in Salem and had two children: James and John (2) (see where all the Johns can be tricky, and has been a common mistake).
Lucy carried her stepfather’s last name of Weston ( Lucy, her mother and Stepfather came over in 1630 with the Winthrop Fleet which sailed Yarmouth, Isle of Wright to Salem). When Lucy died in 1647 John (1) then married Mary Browning and they had seven children: Mary, David, Abigail, Capt. Samuel, Thomas, Rebecca, Sarah, and Jonathan.
John (2) left Martha’s Vineyard and moved to Moheyan, CT.
Mary Browning remarried after John (1)’s death and moved to Portsmouth NH, where she died.
I am 11th descendant through James Pease from John Pease(1).
My father spend 35 years researching the records in CT, RI, MA and on Martha’s Vineyard on our family line. Hope this helps you with your website and family search.
